It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald E. Tarwater of Raytown, Missouri, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on October 31, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold E. Tarwater and Gertrude L. Tarwater (O'Neal); his wife Alice; his brothers, Charles "Bud" Tarwater and Larry Tarwater; his sister-in-law Wilma; his sister Dorothy Reeves; his brothers-in-law, Howard Reeves and Louis Nelson; and his granddaughter Natalie Tarwater.
He is survived by: his sons, Rick Tarwater (Tina) of Drexel, MO, Kevin Tarwater (Theresa) of Lee's Summit, MO and Brian Tarwater (Susan) of Higginsville, MO.; his grandchildren, Brady Tarwater (Cayla) of Pleasant Hill, MO and Hannah Tarwater of Lee's Summit; his great grandchildren, Alexandria and Isaac Tarwater of Pleasant Hill, MO.; and his sister-in-law Mary Margaret Tarwater. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
