Annette J Audas Obituary

Annette J. Audas, a devoted wife, mother, and cherished sister, passed away peacefully in hospice care on January 6, 2025. Born in 1938, Annette lived a life full of love, service, and joyous adventure. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norman Audas, her daughter-in-law Kristen Audas, and her grandson Richard Audas.

Annette was a loving mother to 17 foster children and is survived by her loving children, Gregory Audas and Catherine Audas, and her brother, Wayne Anderson. Her family was her pride and joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and resilience.

A woman of strong faith, Annette found comfort and community in her devotion to God and Olivet Baptist Church, where she joyously sang in the choir. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, shaping her relationships and inspiring her to touch the lives of everyone she met. Her favorite bible verse was John 3:16.

Annette and Norman shared an extraordinary partnership, marked by 74 cruises together, including an unforgettable trip around the world in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary in 2016. They started in California, covered 36, 000 miles in 24 days and made 7 major stops, and returned to New York. Their love of travel and adventure brought them closer to each other and to the world around them, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of their family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 4–6 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Kansas City, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Annette's remarkable life. Annette will be laid to rest beside Norman in the mausoleum in Grinnell, Iowa, on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:30 AM.

Annette's unwavering faith and loving spirit will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, strength, and adventure will continue to inspire all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with those she cherished most.
