He is survived by: his son A. J. (Tiffinie); his grandsons, Micaiah and Isaiah; and his siblings, Joan, Joyce, Lisa and Jim.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the National Museum of the American Indian and Samaritan's Purse, two organizations he continued to support.
