He was predeceased by: his son Michael Pott. He is survived by: his parents, John H. Pott and Marie Pott (Kerkering); his spouse Velma Pott; his daughters, Theresa Stewart (Dennis) and Suzanne Barncord (Kenneth); and his sister Kathryn Pott. He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Joseph's Indian School, P.O. Box #300, Chamberlain, S.D. 57325.
