It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Allen Morris (Raymore, Missouri), born in Valley, Nebraska, who passed away on May 10, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Alexander and Elva Marie Morris (Adams); his former wife Mary L. Morrow; his siblings, Harvey Morris, Byrel Morris, Virginia Toy, Aline Painter, Eva Roberts, Sylvia Roberts, Ila Schwieter, Dorothy Perrigo and Daisy Randall; his great grandchild Allyssa Marie Tighe; and his son-in-law Jim Trawicke.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy L. Stine; his children, Christine Trawicke, Michelle Messer (Mike), Denise Baldwin (Phillip), Craig Morris (Trisha), Patricia Hunt (Greg) and Sharon Halsey (Jeff); his grandchildren, Michaela Tighe (Chad), Nicholas Stary (Nancy), Jessica Smith (Jeff), Gabrielle Messer, Melissa Shanks (John), Amanda Duhon (Jacob), Julia Morris, Emily Morris, Alicia Morrison (Sean), Claire Brooks (David) and Jeremy Halsey; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, River Tighe, Wesley, Jillian Smith, Landon Morrison, Ellis Shanks and Lincoln Duhon. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Dick was a passionate supporter of the Raymore-Peculiar Public School Foundation Caring About Nutrition (CAN) program which provides food for children who might otherwise go without.
