He is survived by: his parents, James S. Hines Sr. and Martha E. Hines (Baker); his former wife Thelma E. Hines (Cox); his wife Doris F.; his siblings, Verda Mae Hughes of Somerset, KY and James S. Hines Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Velma Webb of Richmond, IN, Carole Yoakum and Hal Mitchell of Vail, AZ; his stepdaughter Georgia Gayle Copeland (Gail Pearson) of Overland Park, KS; his children, Michael D. Hines (Vickie Cool-Hines) of Louisville, KY and Marie E. Hines (Bryan Norris) of Ottawa, KS.; his grandchildren, Brandon Dano (Ashley Fields) of Lee's Summit, MO and Telana Dano Youngs (Josh) of Rome, NY.; and his great grandchildren, Codie and Malachi Dano of Kansas City, MO. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
