He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Sue Whittle; his parents, Harry Mitchell and Margaret Mitchell; and his brother James E. Mitchell. He is survived by: his brother Harry Mitchell; and his sons, Steven (Anna), Robert (Maureen) and John (Kristen). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and eleven nieces and nephews.
