He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard David Bailey and Viola Bailey (Hartley); and his siblings, Judith Hoyt, Virginia Crosby, Carolyn King and David Bailey.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn Bailey; his children, Mark Allen Bailey, Sherri Lynn Scott, Cathryn Denise Bailey (Susan Freeman) and Andrea Lynn Johnson (Tom); his grandchildren, Dale Edward "Trey" Scott (Lauren), Brett Taylor Scott, Anna Carina Johnson and Grace Mei Johnson; his brother-in-law Robert Hoyt; his sisters, Mildred Sealey (Jim), Maryln Winstead and Kathryn Zuber (Ronald); and his siblings-in-law, Alison, Bob Cook, Kent and Bianca Summers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
