He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sargent and Patricia "Atsy" Sargent; his siblings, Mike, Steve Sargent and Mary Irvin; and his son Cody Sargent.
He is survived by: his sons, Adam and Ryan Sargent (Brooke Fisher) of Overland Park; and his sisters, Patsy Sargent of Raymore, Cathrine Brammer (Preston) of Wichita, Susan Maldonado of Lawson, Kyle DeFrain (Doug) of Peculiar, Kris Darrah (Rick) of Lee's Summit and Janie Richeson (Michael) of Bates City. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and 24 nieces and nephews as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
