He was predeceased by: his wife Helen JoAn Morgan; and his siblings-in-law, Bernice Fulkerson, Jimmy Fulkerson and Martin Hendrix. He is survived by: his sister Mary Hendrix; his children, Cindy Erhard (David) and Tom K. Eagleson; his grandsons, Tommy L. Eagleson and Joe German (Keisha); and his great grandchildren, Zoe German, Eli German, Maci German, Jordan Eagleson and Leah Eagleson.
