He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Merckling (Tammy) and Dolly Merckling (Hicks); and his great grandchild Riggin Akers. He is survived by: his children, Brandi Akers of Houston, MO and Ashly Akers (Sandy) of Tecumseh, MO; his grandchildren, Lanie, Gus, Charley of Tecumseh, MO and Gracie Westbrook (Jessie) of Raymondville, MO; his great grandchildren, Fern and Ransom of Raymondville, MO; and his siblings, Marty Merckling (Judy) of Houston, MO, Bob Merckling (Barb) of Republic, MO, Sherri Gale (Merckling) of Houston, MO and Amy Brown (Brinson) of Nixa, MO. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bradford Funeral Home (305 N Main Ave, Summersville, MO 65571). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at the Boone Creek Cemetery (10864 State Rte 137, Licking, MO 65542).
