She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer C. Herndon and Della M. Herndon (Dukes); her siblings, Ethel Smith, Lucille Simpson, LaVerla Hammond, Harley Herndon and Clark Herndon; her grandchildren, Melanie DeFreece and Ryan Orey; her great great grandchild Issac Wagner; and her sons-in-law, Dean Hawk and Fred Orey.
She is survived by: her husband John Harold Fare; her daughters, Connie Sue Hawk, Patsy Lynn Orey and Kathy Diane Brand (Charley); her grandchildren, Lisa Lyle (Harold), Angelia Bever, Shawn DeFreece (Lacey) and Brandon Brand (Natasha); her great grandchildren, Stephanie Meyer, Jennifer Schopfer (Wes), Justin Bever, Aaron Bever (Zara), Sydni Kurtz (Josh), Dylan DeFreece (Abbi), Bobbi Jepsen, Jadin DeFreece, Hadley DeFreece, Ashton Brand, Lana Brand and Victoria Brand; her stepgreat-grandsons, Chance Barber and Dylan Mildfeldt; her nephew LeRoy Hammond (Janet); her niece Raylene Kerwin (Gary); her cousin Winnie Burns; and her caregivers, Dawn Graham and Terri Hudson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Laura Street Baptist Church (120 S Laura St, Maryville, MO 64468). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family suggests memorials to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Oak Lawn Cemetery.
