He is survived by: his wife Diane Lea Gerst (Carlson); his children, Nancy Langley (Larry) of Irmo, SC, Karen Kramer (Jeff) of Springfield, Jill German (Rick) of Springfield, Lisa Espy (Scott) of Marshfield, MO and Scott Gerst (Jim Porcarelli) of East Hampton, NY.; his siblings, David Gerst (Joyce), James Gerst (Donna), John Gerst (Joann), Don Gerst (Connie), Ruthann Schroeder, Kathy Brown (Dave), MaryLynn Grooms and Dick; his grandchildren, Larz, Justin, Ian Langley, Megan, Joseph, Steven Kramer, Michelle, Kristi, Ricky, Adam, Ashlie, Allie, Annie, Max German, Katherine (Katie), Natalie and Aaron Espy; and his great grandchildren, Isabella, Madelyn, Brynlie, Mason Garza (Michelle German), Avery Valdez (Kristi German), Hudson, Hallie Ragsdale (Katie Espy), Felix, Elenore Kramer (Joseph Kramer), Caleb, Elias, Everlee (Aaron Espy), Teagan and Bodhi Langley (Ian Langley).
