He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alvin and Kitty Fern Byrd Saxbery; his wife Erma Dean Gaskill; his stepdaughter Donna Sue Dillinger; his daughter Teresa S. Saxbery; his great grandchild Isaac Andrew Saxbery; and his granddaughter Teresa Lynn Saxbery.
He is survived by: his children, James Steven Saxbery (Mary) of Quincy, IL, Gloria Buehler (Terry) of Quincy, IL, Dennis Alvin Saxbery (Ruth) of Springfield, IL and Patty Saxbery of Quincy, IL; his stepdaughter Suzanne Cheser of Columbia, MO; his grandchildren, David Wallace, Dan Wallace, Keith Saxbery, Carrie Saxbery, Johnny Saxbery and Jason Saxbery; his stepgranddaughters, Debra Moore, Deanna Welker and Donna Hoener; and his friend Maureen Leckbee. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
