She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Eugene and Ruby Delilah Farris (Sides); her stepson Matthew Charles McCartney; and her sister Linda Knupp. She is survived by: her husband Charles "Chuck" David McCartney of Queen City, Missouri; her sons, Slade Shafer of Grain Valley, Brock McCarty of Kirksville and Chase McCarty of Kirksville, Missouri; her stepdaughter Erin Kathleen Hilton (Joe) of Columbia, Missouri; her grandchildren, Dexton Shafer, Camden Shafer, Baylee Jones, Madison McCarty, Kinsley McCarty and Nayvee McCarty; her great grandchildren, Kemper and Goldie Jones; and her siblings, Shirley Figgins of Effingham, Jan Blake of Memphis and Mike Farris (Cathy) of Kirksville, Missouri. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Norman Funeral Home (402 W Washington St, Lancaster, MO 63548). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
