He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Brooks and Essie Drowns Brooks; and his brother Jimmy Brooks. He is survived by: his spouse Sherron Blagg; his children, Rick Brooks (Jill) of St. Charles and Ranae Troxell (Ron) of O'Fallon; his siblings, Shirley Wallace of Harrisburg, Dickie Brooks of Puxico, Rodney Brooks of New London and Donnie Brooks of Harrisburg, Arkansas.; and his grandchildren, Ricky, Johnny, Jessie and Ashley. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
