He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Izetta Arnold (Orman); his wife Joyce Marie Vails; and his siblings, Leland Orman, Carl Arnold, Learlean Carroll and Mary Gipson.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Arnold Jr. (Sue) of Rockford, Illinois, Ben Arnold (Sherry) of Kansas City, Missouri, Ginger Holloway (Doug) of Puxico, Missouri, Sharon Pawelko (Nick) of Rockford, Illinois, Debbie Tartaglia (Vic) of Rockford, Illinois, Sheila Parks (Keith) of Rochester, Minnesota and Joyce Renaud (Mike) of Cape Girardeau; and his pet Newt. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; a close personal friend.
