With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Ann Vails of Puxico, Missouri, born in Waterman, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 27, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Carol Ann leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Wilkin and Anna Belle Wilkin (Sloniker); and her brother Larry Wilkin. She is survived by: her children, Terry Vails (Jill) of Baileyville, Diane Smith (Mark) of Poplar Grove and Lori Allen (Steve) of Puxico; and her siblings, Harold Wilkin (Marilyn), Kathy Wittman (Rick), Becky Tucker (Harry) and Tim Wilkin (Linda). She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 1 bonus grandchild, 23 great grandchildren and 4 bonus great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
