The passing of Lester Laney of Purdy, Missouri, born in Washburn, Missouri leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on September 9, 2024 at the age of 81. He is survived by: his children, Rickie Joe Laney (Angela) of Purdy, Aaron Todd Laney (Stephanie) of Neosho, Missouri, Missy Allphin (Darren) of Stark City and Katina Laney (Jamey Pierce) of Granby, Missouri; his sisters, Lorene Dotson of Purdy and Dortha Belle Woolaway of Fairview, Missouri; his sisters-in-law, Betty Laney and Mardell Laney; and his grandchildren, Josh Laney (Venus), Cory Howard (Emily), Kyli Hightower (Andrew), Laura Laney, Ranysha Pierce (Armando Castilleja II), Kennadi Erwin (Allen) and Darrion Pierce (Kirstin).
