Bettye Matherly Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bettye Matherly (Protem, Missouri), born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 8, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Matherly; her parents, William Wheeler and Izola Wheeler; her sisters, Billye Helton, Alyce Runyan and Tommye Sue Matherly; and her grandson Kurt Hodgson.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Hodgson (Byrl), John Steven Matherly (Cindy) and Sherri Lynn Compton (Mike); her siblings, Eva Ship, Elaine Hanna and Dale Wheeler; her siblings-in-law, Frank Matherly and Joan Smith; and her grandchildren, Brad, Jason, Robert, Claire, Jesse, Ashley and John. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
