He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles M. Slaughter and Mary Sue Slaughter (Alpert); his son Jason Lewis; his granddaughter Jaden Lewis; and his brother Danny Slaughter.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis M. Slaughter, Manheim, Debbie Hamilton (Chris) of Kansas City, KS, Michael Lewis (Marcie) of Kansas City, MO, Madison Lewis of Columbia, MO and Riley Lewis (Maci) of Newtown, MO; his grandchildren, Jackie, Jordan, Madison, Jayci, Riley, Lacie, Abbi, Macey, Remi, Konner, Dylan and Tate; and his siblings, Susan Voss (John), Shirley Thomas, David Slaughter (Jennifer) and Ross Slaughter (Dawn). He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
