He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ryder and Lora Ford Ryder; his wife Mary Ann Knapp; and his siblings, Mary C. Lashmett, Joe, Tom Ryder, Catherine "Kate" Bowers, Clara Ryder and Cordelia Vick.
He is survived by: his sister Elizabeth "Sue" Loy (Oliver) of Medora. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
