He was predeceased by: his parents, John Prokopovich and Jenny Kushkowski Prokopovich; and his son Ivan Micah Prokopovich. He is survived by: his wife Cary Prokopovich; his children, Leo Prokopovich (Lynn), Nadia Watson (David) and Viktoria Griffin (Brian); and his siblings, Victor Prokopovich and Lydia Coombs. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
