He was predeceased by: his parents, Malvin Gerdes and Ester Gerdes (Knox); and his brothers, Jack Gerdes and Melvin Gerdes. He is survived by: his wife Regina Riddle; his children, Justin Gerdes (Amy) of Pottersville, Missouri and Andrea Gerdes (Bradley Thomas) of Alabama; his siblings, Mike Gerdes of West Plains, Missouri and Suszanna Huckabee of West Plains, Missouri; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Roberts, Bryson Gerdes, Brayden Gerdes, Naveah Gerdes and Aila (Thomas); and his great great grandchildren, Hunter Roberts and Tyriec Peoples Jr.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
