He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Smith and Mabel Smith; his wife Ruby Smith (Skiles); and his brother Arthur Eugene Smith. He is survived by: his children, Judy Taylor of Bismarck, Missouri and Danny Smith (Lisa) of Potosi, Missouri; his grandchildren, Jonathan Gallaher of Park Hills, Nicole Bennett (Eric) of St. Genevieve and Shanna Sloan; his great grandchildren, Adriana, Eli Bennett and Duncan Sloan; and his brother Jewell (Florence) of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by his family and friends.
