He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Hawkins and Virgie Hawkins (Whitaker); and his siblings, Donald, Herbert Jr., Timothy, Kenny, Hershel Hawkins, Dorothy Casby, Ruth Ann Hughes, Geraldine Bowen, Ellen Cash, Brenda DeClue and Susan Korn.
He is survived by: his wife Dolly Hawkins; and his sons, David Hawkins and Dennis Hawkins. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
