She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Nettles and Ruby Nettles (Lawson); her daughter Jeannie Ann Fitzgerald; and her siblings, Earline Meyer, Loretta Barton, Rosetta Nettles, Raymond Nettles, Archie Winick and Lawrence Winick.
She is survived by: her husband Jim Shy; her children, William Fitzgerald, Genevieve, Mike Shy and Maggie; her grandchildren, Jamie, Mikhala, Hayden, Gage and Tia; her great grandchildren, Marley and Ebin; her siblings, Vernon, Bessie Nettles, Truma Robinson, Charles and Linda Winick; and her sister-in-law Christine Nettles. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
