He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Cecil Brakefield and Ruth Marie Brakefield (Beers); and his sisters, Betty Briley and Jean Volner. He is survived by: his son Daniel Brakefield; his siblings, Judy Green, Cynthia Robinson (Steve), Cecil Brakefield (Ramona) and Noel Brakefield (Glenda); and his nephew Billy Kean. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
