He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Politte and Laura Politte (Owens); and his siblings, Olin (Delores Gibson), Leon (Nora Gibson), Donald (Jennie Gibson), Melvin (Lorretta), Alvin (Ruby Gibson), Ida Gibson Combs, Lillie (Floyd Benson), Leroy Gibson, Laura (Bill Robinett), Marilyn (Earl "Keeter" Skaggs) and Karen Sue Politte.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his sons, Kurt Dickey (Patty) and Kent Dickey (Tammy DeGonia); his grandchildren, Mandy Kamper (Keith), Melissa, Tera Dickey, Kyle Dickey (Tiffani) and Ryan Dickey (Allison); his great grandchildren, Audrey, Grace, Kaiden, Lily, Rylan, Madelyn and Marlee; and his sister Dee Kitchell (Vernan).
