She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sloan and Ellen Sloan (Baker); and her spouse Jerry E. Essmyer. She is survived by: her daughters, Sue Essmyer, Bonny Holyfield (Charles) and Cynthia Essmyer (John Carter); her granddaughters, Julia Joyce (Warren) and Andrea Nickelson; and her siblings, Newt, Larry Sloan and Judith Heeter (Richard). She is also survived by four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
