He is survived by: his children, Joseph Nettles Jr. (Linda), Vanessa Ruth Pidcock, Brenda Fairchild, Valerie Rowe (Lewis), Jane Neal, Heather Dean (Bill) and Sue Wittke (Bill); his sister Freda Stringer; his fiancée Norma Knight; and his stepchildren, Robert King (Heather), Giles King (Shawn) and Charlotte Crider (Kevin).
