He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Mapes (Hudson) and Theodore Mapes; and his siblings, Theodore Mapes, Jr., Elizabeth Battreal and Armeda Woodring.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Mapes (Bohan); his daughters, Elaine Hawkins (Rodney) of Potosi and Beverly Gillam of Potosi; his grandchildren, Justin Gillam (Alyssa), Sierra Nettles (Chris) and Jessica Hawkins (Jordan Veach); and his great grandchildren, Cameron Duncan, Connor Duncan, Ayden Nettles, Jax Nettles and Harrison Gillam. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
