He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Bowles (Doug) and Carol Stengel of De Soto; his grandchildren, Casey (Cord), Jeremy (Faith), Aaron (Annabelle) and Jarod (Melissa); his great grandchildren, Treydon, Braelynn, Bryson, Winston, Gannon, Cali, Kendal, Kylie, Claire, Madelyn and Thomas; and his brother Byron Byers (Kim).

Don was one of the first persons I met when I came into the music circle here in the DeSoto area and he showed a kindness to others, that couldn't be ignored.
