It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Lee Welker (Potosi, Missouri), who passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Verna May Welker; his granddaughter Elizabeth May Welker; his sister Maybelle Yount (Leon); and also Danny Madden. He is survived by: his children, Carla Madden, Richard Welker (Susan), Vicki Welker and Susan Schorr (Johnny); his grandchildren, Jeremy Welker (Maria), Jason Welker (Amy), Katherine Pitrucha (David), Elizabeth Wildgen (Erick) and Lauren Bauer (Jim); his great grandchildren, Cameron, Landon, Viviani, Sophia, Grace, Finn and Axel; and his siblings, Dale Welker and Max Welker (Fern). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the DeClue Family Funeral Home (301 E High St, Potosi, MO 63664). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at the Courtois Baptist Cemetery.
