It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara Bates of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on May 5, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sarge Freeman and Nadean Freeman; and her siblings, Connie Jo Freeman Boehme and Gary Edward Freeman. She is survived by: her sons, Chance Whitehead (Trisha) of Poplar Bluff and Lance Bates (Mandy) of Poplar Bluff; her grandchildren, MaKayla, Natalie Whitehead, Liam, Isaac and Nora Bates; and her sisters-in-law, Regina Gayle Freeman and Donna New. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
