He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert, Sr. Hill and Agnes Hill (Rickey); his wife Sandra VanDamme; his son Bert Joe; and his sister Sandy Dykeman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carrie Calhoun, Poplar Bluff, Trina McAllister (Scott) and Treasa Newlun (John) of Cuba, IL. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, American Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer's Association.
