It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alvin Eugene Spencer of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, who passed away on June 9, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lennie Spencer and Francis Spencer (Motter); his wife Opal Browning Spencer; his sons, Keith Spencer, Joe Spencer and Leonard Browning; his brother Andy Spencer; and his children-in-law, Alita Browning and Jack Briggs.

He is survived by: his children, Tammy Spencer (DiAnn), Erma Suttner (David), Marie Briggs, Chris and Greg Browning (Mimi); and his sister Aileen Dockery. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Lung Association.
