With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alta Fay Faughn of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Alta left this world on February 12, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. Though Alta may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Alta touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Winder and Goldie Winder (Hast). She is survived by: her husband Dennis Faughn; her sisters, Lovetta Burket, Dorothy Laughlin and Edith Helsel; her sister-in-law Francise Reeder; and her close friends, Brian, Michelle Smith and Larry Evans. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home (701 Vine St, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
