He was predeceased by: his parents, Aulce Carrell and Arlene Peterman Carrell; and his grandson Robert Lucas. He is survived by: his wife Imogene Carrell; his children, Jean Hanson (Phil), Sam Carrell, Sherry Brotherton (John) and Dennis Carrell (Maria); his brother Orbie Gunter; his parents-in-law, Sam and Lena Holloway; and his brothers, Orin and Aaron Gunter. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
