It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Dean Hicks of Polo, Missouri, who passed away on March 7, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Merlin Hicks and Jimmy Joe Hicks; and his grandson Justin Hicks (Ingrid Shipley). He is survived by: his children, Adriana Gorham (Bill) of Polo, MO, Kenny Hicks of Polo, MO and Max Hicks (Nina) of Polo, MO; and his grandchildren, Jessica McFatrich (Darren), Niki Warner (Brent), Amber Mantlo (Eric), Chris Gorham (Ann), Zac Hicks (Lindsey), Tara Robinson (Brian), Jacob Hicks (Emily), Joely Peel (Dakota), Jaeger Hicks, Jaxon Hicks, Jace Hicks, Allexa Storts and Elam Storts. He is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren; several other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Zimmerman Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
