He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Cozad and Luvay Cozad (Dowell); his sons, Chester Steven Cozad and Randy Lee Cozad; and his siblings, Harley Cozad Jr. and Maxine Eckman.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Cozad; his children, Terry Cozad (Charese) and Ginger Harris (Michael); and his grandchildren, Travis, Skyler, Matthew, Tabitha and Terri. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
