He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Harp and Ethel Harp; his wife Sandy Taylor; and his son Michael. He is survived by: his former wife Louise Cruse; his children, Bruce Harp (Becky), Rick Harp (Edie), Dennis Harp, Kristopher Taylor (Leesa) and Kimberly Cooper (Gary); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Joshua, Kaci, Amber, Austin, Gabriel, Jaden, Asher and Landon; his great grandchildren, Maverick and Saige; and his siblings, Arthur, Linda and LaDena.
