He was predeceased by: his stepfather Max Weaver; his parents-in-law, Moncey and Joan Skidmore; his close friends, Kenny and Sammy Sutherland; and his grandparents, Jack, Lorene Barclay, Mary Weaver, Jim and Esther Collard.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Cox (Skidmore); his children, Dustin Wayne Cox and Whitney Leigh Cox; his parents, Helen Weaver and Ed Cox (Judy); his sister Sherry Carney (Mike); and his brothers-in-law, Paul Skidmore (Kathy) and Cliff Skidmore (Lesha). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
