With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sherman L. Brown of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 17, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sherman L. Brown to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Brown and Irene Brown (Forbis); his wife Laura P. "Penny" McManis (Carpenter); his stepfather Ralph Phillipe; his son John Friel; and his stepdaughter Debi Dains.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherry; his son-in-law Jamie Ray; and his grandchildren, Summer Ray, Richard Youngblood (Hollie), Michael Dains (Jayme), Jeremy Dains (Heather), Matthew Dains, Lucas Linden (Jessica), Madison McClafferty (Jeff), Garrett Friel, Jordan Friel and Julianne Smith. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; other relatives; and a host of many friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stanley-Edenburn Funeral Home (203 N Armstrong St, Pleasant Hill, MO 64080).
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kansas City Hospice House and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
