She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Hatchitt and Hildred Hatchitt (Campbell); and her cousin Patricia Sheets. She is survived by: her husband Bill Smith; her daughters, Jennifer Moran (Patrick) of Pleasant Hill and Angela Green (Andrew) of Blue Springs; her grandchildren, Alexander, Ryan, Marley, Sophia, Justine, Kody and Justin; and her sisters, Jane Williams (Phil) of Bradenton and Judith Walker (Dean) of Independence. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
