With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John R. Burnside of Plattsburg, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 18, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may John find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Burnside and Kathilene Burnside (Bell); his wife Shirley A. Burnside; his sister Kathryn May; his daughter Robin Suzanne Nave; and his grandson Darius Burnside.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Burnside of Plattsburg, Rickey Burnside of Plattsburg, Roxanne Burnside of Plattsburg, Roddie Burnside (Vail) of Plattsburg and Rae Burnside of Kansas City, MO.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Plattsburg Community Courtyard (117 W Maple St, Plattsburg, MO 64477).
