He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Goad and Myrtle Goad (Quinn); his wife Mary Gardner; his siblings, JT, Nathan, Shelby, Leona, Wonedith, Minnie and Geneva; his son-in-law Greg Carter; and his nephews, Paul Goad, Ed Dickinson, Jack Burton and Leon Wright.

He is survived by: his daughters, Frances Hubbard (Bill), Donna Chambers (Archie), Dell Carter and Connie Trayler (Fred); and his grandchildren, Billy Hubbard (Amanda), Cori Chapmond (Matt), John Trayler, Sam Trayler, Brandy Chambers, Shelby Chambers and Mary Carter. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
