He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse D. Box and Barbara Box; and his nephew Jason Gooch. He is survived by: his wife Helena Box (Penny); his son Christopher Box (Kristina); his stepdaughter Tina; his grandchildren, Curtis Jr., Jessica, Megan, Emily and Jake; his sister Wanda Gooch (Mark); his niece Christen (Tony); and his brother Daniel Box of Long Beach, California.. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Passantino Bros. Funeral Home (2117 Independence Ave, Kansas City, MO 64124). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at the Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery (2201 Cleveland Ave., Kansas City, MO 64127).
