It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan (Hazzard) O'Dell Jennings in Platte City, Missouri, who passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Hazzard and Effie Hazzard (Myers); her husbands, Ralph O'Dell and Charles Jennings; her siblings, Ruth Patee, Ruby Allen, Reba Killin, Marjorie Catron, Mary McNary Chowning, Patricia Dunlap, Barbara Catron, Roy Hazzard and Forrest Hazzard; and her stepson Jerry Jennings.
She is survived by: her children, Randall O'Dell (Karla) of Broadway, NC, Steven O'Dell (Julia), Brenda Castillo (Joseph), John Jennings (Billie) and Kathy Jennings; her grandchildren, Sarah Haught (Michael), Jonathan O'Dell (Lynda), Amanda O'Dell (Nathaniel Krumdick), Katherine O'Dell (Michael Scribner), Aaron O'Dell (Mari), Andrew Castillo (Katie), Jacob Castillo, Deric Jennings (Allyson), Jackson Jennings (Aana), Ryan Jennings (Mindy) and Alyxis Spencer (Ben); and her great grandchildren, Vincent, Liam, Conner, Riley, Owen, Charlie, Teddy, Luke, Ryder, Taylor, Bruce, Ben, Gaius, Landyn and Harper. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory (5005 Frederick Ave Suite A, St Joseph, MO 64506). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
