It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry Gates of Platte City, Missouri, born in Stella, Missouri, who passed away on June 26, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Oberlin and Aletta Mae Gates (Holzer); and his siblings, Minnie Annabelle Gates and William. He is survived by: his wife Toni Deann Brown; his children, Rosa Gates of Jenks, OK, Teresa McMillian (Bill) of Grove, OK, Henry "Dink" Gates, II of Broken Arrow, OK, Samantha Gates (Nik) of Blue Springs, MO, Meagan Bartholomew (Stanton) of Kansas City, MO and Matthew Gates of Platte City, MO; and his granddaughter Karissa McMillian. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
